Background

Originally from Newton, Massachusetts , I have settled down in to Cademario, Switzerland , after many hops and having received a Master's degree in Scientific Computing / Computational Mathematics from Stanford University , and a Doctor of Sciences degree from the ETH Zurich Seminar for Applied Mathematics along the way.

Current Activities

I am a computational scientist working for Swiss National Supercomputing Centre , and interact with scientists from the Numerical Weather Prediction and Climate Science communities to help them run their simulations on high-performance computers. Currently I am extensively involved in the software development of the ICON model , in particular within the EXCLAIM Project at the ETH Zurich. My spare time is divided between my family and activism on climate change , which is in my mind the most significant existential crisis related to the degradation of the Earth system due to human activity.
